2010

  • FourChurches10 - April 9th. 130 miles in 48 hours. York Minster to Durham Cathedral.

    A lovely route from York to Durham via Kilburn, some gorgeous countryside over the North Yorkshire Moors, Ingleby Cross, Middlesborough and Hartlepool. Raised money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance

  • Amsterdame10 (ladies only) - June 11th. 250+ miles over 5 days. York to Amsterdam - and back!

    An incredible trip which included a full day in Amsterdam to see the sights! The route was almost flat so there were no concerns about having to climb nasty hills! We raised money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

  • Amsterslam10 - July 9th.  250+ miles over 5 days. York to Amsterdam - and back!

    As with the Amsterdame event, this was another trip not to be missed! We raised money for Jessie's Fund.

  • CoastAndCastles10 - NEW FOR 2010! July 24th. 170 miles over 3 days. Edinburgh to Newcastle.

    This was a new event for us in 2010. It took in some of the beautiful coastlines between Edinburgh and Newcastle. There were some outstanding castles thrown in for good measure and best of all we all had a wonderful time and made some new friends! We raised over £8,000 for Sustrans.

2009

  • FourChurches09 - April 10th -  135 miles in 48 hours - York Minster to Durham Cathedral.   Unfortunately this year's event had to be cancelled - we blame the recession for lack of rider signup!.

  • Securicare Amsterdame09 - June 12th -  275 miles over 5 days - York to Amsterdam and back Ladies Only!  We raised over £28,000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

  • Amsterslam09 - July 10th -  275 miles over 5 days - York to Amsterdam and back We raised over £8,000 for Jessie's Fund.

  • Dawn till Dusk Challenge 100 - August 30th. Teams of 2-4 cycled either 100 miles or 100km. Their entry fees were all donated to charity. Congratulations to the teams on their personal achievements!

  • Sea2Sea09  -     September 11th - 135 miles over 3 days - Whitehaven to Sunderland raising money for Sustrans.

  • HadriansWall09 - October 16th. 174 miles over 3 days. Sea to Sea via Hadrians Wall raising money for the Parkinsons Disease Society.

2008

  • RideOfTheRoses08 - March 8th -  115 miles in 48 hours - York University to Lancaster University.  A great ride with a few hilly bits! We ran this event for the Athletics Union at York University! They raised £1,273 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

  • FourChurches08 - March 28th -  135 miles in 48 hours - York Minster to Durham Cathedral.  £1,243 raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

  • Amsterdame08 - Ladies Only! - May 24th -  275 miles over 4 days - York to Amsterdam and back.  We took  over 60 ladies on this ride as it was Marie Curie's 60th birthday in 2008! We raised *over £37,500* !!!

  • Amsterslam08 - July 12th -  275 miles over 4 days - York to Amsterdam and back.  We raised over £7,500 for Jessie's Fund!!

  • Sea2Sea08  -    October 10th  - 135 miles over 3 days - A tough challenge, this one was for people with a little more cycling confidence. We raised almost £3,000 for Sustrans.

2007

  • FourChurches07 - Easter - 9 riders - 135 miles in 48 hours - Selby Abbey, Riccall St.Mary's,York Minster to Durham Cathedral. Over £4200 raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance!

  • Amsterdame07 Ladies Only!!  - June 2nd -  19 riders - 275 miles over 4 days - York to Amsterdam and back.  A great ride which raised over £10000 for Marie Curie Cancer Care!! This event attracted lots of press interest and we were set off by Clare Frisby from the BBC!

  • Amsterslam07 - June 30th - 24 riders - 275 miles over 4 days - York to Amsterdam and back.  A great ride which raised over £10000 for Jessies Fund!! This event attracted lots of press interest and we were set off by Andrew Dunn from Dinnerladies and Coronation Street!

  • Sea2Sea2007 - October 11th - 28 riders - 142 miles over 3 days - Whitehaven to Sunderland. Over £4,200 raised for Sustrans riding through all types of weather!

2006

  • FourChurches2006 - September - 11 riders - 131 miles in 48 hours - Selby Abbey, Riccall St.Mary's,York Minster to Durham Cathedral in 'Severe Weather'. £1,415 raised for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance. The biggest challenge yet, and such a fantastic feeling for everyone to complete it. Again, huge radio and press coverage; large photographs and editorial. 3/4 of back page in Selby Times.

  • Amsterslam2006 - June - 11 riders - 236 miles over 4 days - York to Amsterdam and back. £5,731 raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Three radio show breakfast program appearances, on the news headlines throughout the day. Vast local press coverage .

  • Ultimate Pursuits Sea2Sea2006 - November - 13 riders - 142 miles over 3 days - Whitehaven to Sunderland. Over £2,000 raised for Sustrans riding through weather ranging from sunshine to snow, with rain, sleet and hail thrown in for good measure!

2005

  • York Minster to Durham Cathedral - August  - 8 people - 110 miles over two days - over the North Yorkshire Moors. £2,202 raised for scope. Photo and Editorial coverage Yorkshire Evening Press and Selby Times.
